Depending on the type of course, there are classes that commence on every Monday. However, International students must have a student visa to study in New Zealand and must also have an offer of a place from Cornell.

What is it like to live in a homestay?
Homestay accommodation is a wonderful opportunity for students to practice their English language skills, share in New Zealand culture and form lifelong friendships.
Homestay families and Cornell Institute of Business and Technology staff will do their best to make you feel comfortable and part of the family.
How do students get to school?
Younger students are likely to be dropped off and picked up by their homestay parents. Older students generally walk or take a bus. Our host families live close to Cornell Institute so that you will not have to travel long distances to the city each day.
What do students do on the first day at Cornell Institute of Business and Technology?
You should arrive before 9:00 am in order to attend the orientation and placement test which will decide your level. After the morning tea break, you will be given an orientation tour around the school, to meet our staff and see the facilities. After your placement test has been marked, you will be introduced to your teacher and new classmates.
What does it cost to live in New Zealand?
The cost of living in New Zealand is relatively inexpensive for international students because the New Zealand dollar is relatively weak against the major world currencies.
